Currently Bret is Vice President, Human Resources for Rogers Communications Inc. based in Toronto . Bret is responsible for leading Human Resources for the 25,000 employees in the Cable, Wireless, and Retail businesses across Canada .

Prior to joining Rogers in 2005, Bret held progressive domestic and international leadership roles with Suncor Energy, Manulife Financial and Bell Canada , including living and working in Halifax , Calgary , Hong Kong and Tokyo .

Bret has a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Toronto ; a certificate in Industrial Relations from Queen's University and is a Senior Human Resources Professional. In addition, he has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Dalhousie University where he won the Malcolm Honour award for outstanding contribution to student life. Most recently Bret has completed the Advanced Human Resources Executive Program, University of Michigan and the Advanced Management Program, Harvard University (AMP 174). Bret is currently pursuing his Doctorate at the University Reading with a focus on executive incentive frameworks in dual class share structure firms.
