Financial Aid and Awards Policy

CIRHR awards policy (pdf file) provides an overview of the funding policy for MIRHR and PhD students and includes information about the PhD student funding guarantee. Eligibility requirements are also discussed.

External awards: government and other agencies lists some awards that may be of interest to CIR graduate students.

Financial support for master’s students (pdf file) is a practical and comprehensive guide for financial planning that has been prepared by SGS.

Internal awards: U of T and CIR lists the awards for CIR graduate students that are available through the Centre.

OGS links to the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities web site for the Ontario Graduate Scholarship program and includes application materials.

SGS bursary programs describes both the SGS Emergency Grant Program and the master’s tuition fee bursary program and links to the application forms for each.

SGS doctoral thesis completion grant is available to students in years 5 or 6 of the doctoral program and instructs students on how to apply each September.

SGS financial support links to the many resources available to support graduate students at the UofT. Topics include financial support for students with disabilities, a financial counseling, grants, emergency loans, OSAP and UTAPS.
