Biography
Ian is a PhD candidate in HRM/OB at York University. Before beginning his doctoral studies, he worked in people and culture, employee engagement, and sustainability, and received formal leadership training at Amazon. He also completed pedagogical training at the University of Toronto, where he contributed to teaching teams at Rotman, ICCIT, IMI, CIRHR, and the Departments of Management at both the Mississauga and Scarborough campuses. He also taught at York University and in postgraduate HR programs at George Brown College.
His research examines the future of work, focusing on how artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping human behavior, decision-making, and organizational dynamics. He explores the strategic, organizational, governance, and ethical implications of AI integration in diverse workplace contexts, with particular attention to how individuals adapt to, resist, and collaborate with intelligent systems.
