Unifor's #BuildBackBetter Roadmap

This afternoon, Unifor unveiled its strategy to “#BuildBackBetter” in a Facebook Live press conference marking the release of the union’s ‘Road Map for a Fair, Inclusive and Resilient Economic Recovery’ (PDF). (Executive summary - PDF) 

The document is a “detailed, directional and progressive policy platform to guide government’s thinking around what a post-COVID economy ought to look like," says MIR alumnus Angelo DiCaro, who is Director, Research Department, at Unifor.  The roadmap has five prongs, which can be explored on the union's dedicated #BuildBackBetter website:  

• Income Security 
• Green Jobs and Decarbonization 
• Critical Infrastructure  
• Rebuilding Domestic Industrial Capacity 
• Strong, Enforceable Conditions on Corporate Support Packages
