The Morley Gunderson Lecture in Industrial Relations and Labour Economics, jointly sponsored by CIRHR, Woodsworth College and the Department of Economics, is an annual lecture on labour economics and industrial relations/human resources.

The 2020 Morley Gunderson Prize will also be presented to a current student or graduate who combines outstanding professional achievement with significant service to the Centre.

Speaker Bio:

Michael BakerMichael Baker is Professor of Economics and Canada Research Chair in Economics and Public Policy at the University of Toronto.  His research interests span many areas of labour economics including immigration, family policies, retirement and the gender gap in socioeconomic outcomes.  An ongoing line of research is on how parental leave policies and public child care programs affect labour supply, child development and family well being.
