Highlights from the 2018 LERA Conference

The 70th Annual Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) meeting and conference was held in Baltimore, Maryland from June 14-17, 2018. CIRHR Professor Dionne Pohler relayed some of the highlights: 

CIRHR faculty and current and former PhD students attended and presented papers on a range of topics including: conflict resolution, labour conditions and private regulation in global supply chains, occupational regulation of HR professionals, and corporate social responsibility.  

Former CIRHR PhD student Tingting Zhang was presented with the Thomas A. Kochan and Stephen R. Sleigh Best Dissertation Award.  

Yao Yao, a CIRHR doctoral student, co-chaired the 20th annual PhD student consortium, along with Duanyi Yang and Alex Kowalski of MIT. A record number of students were in attendance at the consortium.  

The CIRHR is also a member of the University Council of Industrial Relations and Human Resource Programs, which regularly meets at LERA.
